Planting Finally Begins
Today it was finally warm enough to plant some of our cold weather crops. Peas, Lettuce, Carrots, beets, radishes and other veggies were our goal. Many of us have never planted before so we went slowly. It was very windy which didn't help either.

Snow = muddy muddy day!!!
Today we got about 2 inches of snow in the morning further delaying our planting season unfortunately.
we also found out finally that they will not be installing a football field and track this summer which could have put our garden in jeopardy :(
so so so cold and getting colder we'll never be able to plant now! |

More Garden Gridding and Soil Temps
B-Day garden kids got it going on! Today we worked so hard outside getting woodchips to all of the thin spots and soggy parts around the rain garden and beyond.
We also finished gridding out a couple of beds and picked up litter.
Soil temperatures are still down around 37 degrees (F) which is still too cold to get our peas in dangit!
To end, Mr. Iverson got a little teary today because the kids in BDay garden are so amazingly nice, and interested and trying so hard to get this garden off the ground.
Because we are doing so well we will have a pizza party tomorrow in honor of all the hard work!!!
WAY TO GO!!!!
