Jaliyah and Megan's First Solo Post!

Water collects in the middle of this intersting plant, magnifying the middle.
Alright, Who removed our 'G'? Now we are the "Community ARDEN"
Digging up more squares for berries, etc.
First square done! Mr Iverson "What now?"
More of those plants. The water actually looks kind of like the middle.
This plot is looking fine and dandy! Great growth!
(Plot owned by Mr. Hoover)

Pulling up wildflowers we don't want this year.

Mr. Iverson is digging up squares for later berrys and possible trees.

Working on plots. They didn't want their pictures taken.

Beets starting to sprout! Yes! Finally getting some progress on this!

Rainy days? No problem. Not many people in class? That could be a problem... But nope! A-Days Gardening class may be low on Students today, but the thing is we got some plants in our garden that are growing pretty well.

P.S, first blog post done without any help from Mr. Iverson. Posted by Jaliyah and Megan (:

A Heart To Heart With A-Day Class

A day class has been struggling to stay on task but today after a big heart to heart about what needed to take place in the garden we totally came out on task, happy to be in the sun and getting along. We planted some new seeds, got the hose up and running and even heard a loud frog in the pond!

We are still getting even more requests for beds and people have begun planting!

GREAT DAY A-DAY GARDEN CLASS!

Reading the back of an onion pack (that rhymed)

Today we heard our first frog sounds and our first wildflower from last year bloomed!

Reading the backs of packages is a good way to make sure we plant things correctly

on spring break

On spring break for a week we all have somthing to do. I hope and I bet that right after break is over we will all come together like a big family and talk about how it went. Sure we all have our differences but in the end we're always there for each other and that's what Stewart Community Garden is all about. Oh and gardening!!!

p.s. either way we're stuck with each other

Thanx for reading. PLEASE comment we would really like to hear what you have to say : )

the wet rainy day of are gardan at stewert

A wet and rainy day in the community garden today in the garden. We were wearing goofy looking ponchos thank Mr.Iverson Everyone tried to plant some seeds but the the soil was to clumpy

It was hard to walk up the hill today because our rain garden flooded over the side we have alot of work to do.

Planting Finally Begins

Today it was finally warm enough to plant some of our cold weather crops. Peas, Lettuce, Carrots, beets, radishes and other veggies were our goal. Many of us have never planted before so we went slowly. It was very windy which didn't help either.
Julian is planting carrot seeds for the first time.

Sprouts Eye View

OUR RAINGARDEN REPAIRS WORKED! Adding extra mulch and beefing up the traingarden banks stopped the water from filling up the water main boxes and hopefully puting a smile on the faces of the grounds and maintenance people :)
