Kelly from UWT Helps us Plant our winter beds

Kelly from the University of Washington Giving Garden program brought us plant seeds that may be successful this winter. She was very excited to see that the worm garden (vermiculture) we built with her last year was alive and doing well! We also got to eat some fresh sunflower seeds. She really helped out getting us planted in a hurry along with a group led by Mr. Iverson, one led by Azaziah and one led by Kondalia. The other picture is a final picture of all the species of tomatoes we donated to the shelter yesterday. EIGHT different species in one donation. Pinks, yellow cherries, yellow baby bells, red cherries, red bells, romas, beefsteaks and heirlooms OH MY!

Today all of our 8th graders were on a field trip and many 7th graders were missing. Yes we missed them but we got so much done with our skeleton crew of hard workers.
Kondalia has become a master planter finishing 2 4x12 foot plots with the help of Francisco.
