About Us!

Here are some all-star photos that explain just what it is we do every day to keep our beautiful garden running, growing and continuing to be alive!
We check the progress of our veggies

We always always always water

We let some plants go to seed and then collect seeds so we don't have to purchase them

We enjoy some of our favorite fresh veggies

We harvest produce for the Family Renewal Shelter and  Stewart families for donations

We plant in the spring, summer, fall and winter to keep the produce coming

We try to collect as many seeds as possible after our veggies have passed their fruiting stages

We have fun together outside!

We pick up the school so that people will respect our garden space

We research planting tips and growing information as well as pest concerns and weeds

We baby our harvest and find satisfaction in a job well done!

We Love Free Tagro from the City of Tacoma (and watching dumptrucks!)

We try to start our own starts (without a greenhouse that is)

We care for our starts in hopes they will be big and strong

We celebrate our harvest with a salad party once in a while~!

We beautify our school by planting sunflowers all around

We recycle old material to use in our garden!

We have a very successful worm garden that we feed, water and add mulch to.

We are curious!

We study and map our progress and garden dynamics

We plant plant plant all the time

We enjoy each other's company!

We work together and take advice from adults

And we never ever stop pulling weeds.

We even do a little handy work.
As you can see, running a garden is a big job. It takes a lot of teamwork, sweat and understanding. But we have learned that all you need is some dirt, water, seeds and love and you would be amazed at how much food you can grow.
