Wood Chip Pile Domination

Today we got right out and worked on the garden, we are so advanced as a class that people are self selecting their jobs and carrying out their duties without any extra supervision or orders from MR. Iverson. Today we moved and entire 1/2 yard of wood chips to pathways, the garden is starting to go well.

look at this mutant tomato! so weird

turning weeded beds over is serious work
get the tomatoes while we can, man so many!

massive wood chipping of pathways today, the woodchip team is the bomb

spreading woodchips in pathways a constant job, we moved so much we need more already!

JOBS TO DO !!!!

What a cool idea to use the blog to remind ourselves of jobs yet to be completed.
this pathway on the left needs more wood chips!

the worm bin patio needs to be weeded

many many many plants are going to seed and we need to collect them!!!!!

the pathways in between beds need to be woodchipped

if we look harder we might find some potatoes that are yet to be uncovered

some of the beds on the steep hills need wood chips on the lower sides to help hold back the dirt

the pathway leading to the top of the garden needs to be redone with woodchips too!

this area near the hose needs to be weeded!

Fall is In the Air, and so is the sweet smell of harvest

The fall weather is on the horizon. We are cleaning up the garden and harvesting as fast as we can! Tomatoes are almost done, beans and peas are done, kale and cabbage are winding down, brocolli is done, and we are waiting on peppers. Great day in the garden!

Today we prepared more beds for planting, hunter, zuriel, sophon dumped a ton of wood chips, plants got watered weeds got pulled. On nice days like these we have to get work done and enjoy the outdoors before the weather gets ugly.
Everyone harvesting and working hard

Onion Planting Skills Put to the test

Today we didn't take too many pictures because we were all working so hard, we fixed and planted an entire bed of onions, watered, pulled weeds, moved wood chips, and Kona planted his garden too.

Yesterday we delived 14 pounds of veggies to the Women's shelter also.

Our class is clicking along quite nicely and we got two new awesome class mates: Hunter and Coree.

Way to go guys.
Re'Sharn, David, and Seth turned the soil over it was difficult

This took the majority of the time

next came the planting of the onions

Azaziah watered the whole garden by himself
