Today we took a visual survey of the community garden and the outside of the school.
We had a few observations:
1. There are no recycling containers outside. We need to bring in recycling.
2. There was a lot of recycling in the garbage cans. We need to have SOME recycling containers and educate people on how to sort their trash.
3. There is little community involvement. We need to advertise the community garden in local stores and talk to the surrounding community about what we are doing.
4. There were no signs designating which beds were being used. We need signage.
