Drafting our first set of Community Garden Rules

Today in class we broke up into 4 different groups of four and brainstormed important rules for students, visitors and gardeners to follow when they enter and interact with the garden.

We then shared out our ideas and agreed on similarities. This rules below are what we came up with:

1.) Please walk appropriately on designated pathways only
2.) Please do not remove or disturb plants in beds or along pathways especially if they are not yours.
3.) Please do not enter or throw anything in the pond ever.
4.) If you own a bed please keep it maintained regularly and visit weekly
5.) Please Put your trash in the garbage correctly
6.) Please Do not vandalize our garden.
7.) Please return any borrowed materials to the shed and lock it.
8.) Please roll up the hose and turn of the water after use
9.) Please do not STEAL anything from the garden!
10.) Please put plant waste in compost bin
11.) Please do not use chemical pesticides or fertilizers (organic only)
12.) Please check in with the main office before 2:45 during school days to use
13.) Please supervise and pick up after your pets!

6.) No stealing plants or signs






We will run this by second semester class and make a final list before we start our signs!
